10 Bible Verses for Chronic Pain

In times of panic, stress, and pain, relief will always remain at the top of your wish list. When it feels like you just cannot take any more that life throws at you, when it feels like there is nothing more you can hold onto, there is always something that remains strong and steadfast. The word from our Lord never changes and is always there for those times when you doubt that your now is only temporary needing the reassurance that your forever is eternal. Your faith, unlike your pain, is something you can control so in those tough times here are some verses that keep me centered in the purpose God has for me. Here are 10 Bible Verses for Chronic Pain:

Psalm 145: 18-19  The Lord is near to all who call on Him, He hears their cry and saves them.

Matthew 11:28 “Come to me all who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.”

James 1:2-4 Consider it pure joy whenever you face trials of many kinds because the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its works so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.

Psalm 30:5 Weeping may stay for the night, but joy always comes in the morning.

Genesis 50:20 What you intended to harm me, God intended it for good to accomplish what is being done now, the saving of many lives.

1 Peter 5:10 And the God of all grace, who called you to His eternal glory, after suffering a little while, will Himself restore you and make you strong, firm, and steadfast.

1 Peter 5:7 Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you.

2 Corinthians 12:9-10 “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. That is why I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, and in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.

Psalm 68:19-20 Praise be to the Lord who daily bears our burden, our God is a God who saves!

Romans 8:18 In your present sufferings, they are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us.
